Swim Schedules

Lap swim – during this time members may swim laps. One lane is left available for water walkers.

Water Exercise – Designed for members to loose weight, build strength and cardiovascular endurance. Participants in this class spend time keeping their heart rates up and work on strength and flexibility skills in the water.

Open/Family Swim – pool is open for free time. There is no organized activity. One lane left in the water for lap swimmers.

Swim Lessons – Swimming lessons taught by YMCA aquatics’ staff for members of all ages and skill levels. See swim lessons schedule for more information.

Silver Splash – Class taught in conjunction with our Silver Sneakers Program. The class focus is on movement through the water to build strength and flexibility for everyday activities.

Aqua Gym – this is a low impact class that a little more intense than Twinges. Focus on walking in the water, kicks, large joint movement

Twinges in the Hinges – in conjunction with the Arthritis Foundation and otherwise known as Arthritis Foundation YMCA Aquatics Program (AFYAP) – designed for people with joint problems. This low impact class focuses on moving every joint in the water, some walking and general socializing.

San Bernardino YMCA Swim Team (SBY) – Designed for children ages 6 – 14. Children attend meets all over Southern California and develop competitive swimming skills.

ASP (After School Programs) – Children from all over the San Bernardino School District come to enjoy the pool. At this time the pool is reserved for these children only. If there are no ASPs scheduled then open swim will be held. Please call to find out the schedule.
