Give your preschooler the best start in life! Preschool University encourages
young children ages 18 months through Kindergarten to explore their
environment, use their creativity and get ready for school. Parents can rest
assured that their children are in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where they are making friends and having fun.

Children enjoy age-appropriate activities that stimulate their senses, creativity and social development.

All young children deserve a bright future and preschool can help your toddler or preschooler learn and develop the appropriate skills needed to be successful in elementary school. Teachers model the Y’s character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Children gain the self-confidence needed to try new things and acquire the skills necessary for a lifetime of learning. A healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack is provided every day.

PARENT PARTICIPATION PRESCHOOL

Parent Participation Preschool has moved to the Redlands Family YMCA! Our well loved preschool has been around for over 20 years, and is the only parent participatory preschool in our community.  The program emphasizes the importance of parental involvement by giving them the opportunity to learn about and interact with their preschool children in a positive and supportive environment.  Parents are expected to participate on a weekly basis for one day each week with monthly parties and field trips as a bonus.  The preschoolers in this program will be better prepared for kindergarten, not only in their academic readiness, but also with social skills and emotional maturity.  Parents register for 2 semesters over a 2 year period of time; class maximum is limited to 18 per class.

The MWF class is the secondary class for 4 to 5 year olds; the T TH class is the entry level class for 3 to 4 year olds.  Both classes meet upstairs in the newly renovated Preschool Program Room from 8:30 to 11:30am.

The instructor for this popular program is Dennie Marie Morales, M.Ed.
