WHAT MAKES THE Y SPECIAL?

The Y is a special place where values are learned and friendships of a lifetime are made. It’s a place where children are kept safe, families congregate and individuals pursue a healthier lifestyle. It’s a gathering place for all members of the community – young and old, rich and poor, male and female, folks from every walk of life, religious affiliation and corner of the globe.

What makes the Y special isn’ t the building or the programs. It’ s the people inside.

At the YMCA, no one is turned away for lack of ability to pay. The generous support we received from our members and the community ensures that the Y is open to everyone. During a time of economic uncertainty and many challenges, our members and friends showed us that they understand the value of the YMCA in our community. Our two annual campaigns, the President’s Golden Circle and Sustaining Campaign, raised a combined total of over $475,000 for membership and program scholarships to ensure that everyone who wants to be part of the Y can be.
